ITINERARY

Early start, back same evening

Please note that the Kremlin is closed on Thursdays. This tour has an early start as you will catch the 6:50am high-speed service train to Moscow. This is not so arduous as St. Petersburg station is easily accessible, situated in the very center of the city. Your St. Petersburg guide and driver will transfer you to the ‘Moscow Railway Terminal’ and put you on the train and in 4 hours you will be in Moscow, arriving in the heart of the city. In Moscow you will be met by your private local guide and driver, who will be at your disposal until your departure back to St. Petersburg on the 19:40 train.

In the day, you will have an 8 hour tour around central Moscow (itinerary below), including a visit to Red Square, the Kremlin, with its ancient onion-domed Cathedrals and the Armory Museum. Your tour will also include lunch in a city restaurant, pre-booked to save time for the sightseeing tour.

You’ll take the same high-speed train back and be met by your St. Petersburg guide and driver, who will take you back to your hotel for around midnight.

If you are cruise ship passengers without visas, you’ll be escorted by your St Petersburg guide throughout the trip.

06:00 Transfer to Moscow Railway Station with the guide for the 06:50 train departure

Optional coffee break.

12:00-14:00 Kremlin, its Cathedrals and Armoury.

Kremlin tour is a walk through 600 years of Russian and Soviet history. You’ll visit two Cathedrals; the Assumption Cathedral and Archangel Cathedral (coronation site of the Tsars), which serve as a vivid and rich reminder of old Russia’s religious devotion. You’ll see the gardens, bell towers, palaces and churches within the Kremlin complex and the Palace of Congresses, built in 1961. You will also visit the Armory and the Diamond Exhibition (optional) where the jewels owned and worn by Russian royalty over the years are on display.
